Calendar Passover Notes
The relevance of this date and our Master Yahvshua and what the old Covenant was pointing to.
12/22/7004* [5784] 7th day of the week/Sabbath [03/02/24]
Galatians: 3:24: Wherefore the torah/law was our schoolmaster to bring us to Mashiyach, that we might be justified by belief.
# Yahvchanan/Yahn/Yohn: 1:29, 36; 12:12 – 50; Mat. 21; Mark 11: 1 – 11; Luke 19: 28 – 48; This record and witness of our Rabbi Yahvshua in the Messianic Writings took place on the 10th day of the 1st Chodesh. When Yahn the Immerser called Yahvshua the Lamb of YaHVeH, this most likely was done on the 10th of the 1st Chodesh before he was murdered by Herodes II, which took place a year or two before Mashiyach was hung on the Pole. When Yahvshua rode on the ass’s colt into Yahvshalayim, it was on the 10th of the same week He was hung on the stake on the 14th of the 1st Chodesh.
+ Mattith’Yahu/Matthew: 26:17 – 19, 20 – 30; From Mattith'Yah we can see that the Yahudiy had established a tradition of eating a meal when the 14th of Abib began at sundown of the 13th. This had to be a tradition that came about later because if you read Shemoth 12 it was not originally part of the Passover ceremony. So the meal that Yahvshua ate with His limmudiym was not the same that took place at the time of the Exodus. The Lamb with bitter herbs and unleavened bread was eaten in haste during the 15th of Abib, which would have begun at sun down of the 14th. It was during this time in the day light part of the day that our Mashiyach was hung on the Stake.
@ Yahn chapter 6. Read all of chapter 6. Verse 4; Yahvshua spoke this in the season of Passover/Unleavened Bread. He announces He is the Bread/Unleavened Bread and the Manna from Shamayim/Heaven.
Nisan (Abib/1st new moon/chadash yareach) sundown of the 13th, which begins the 14th day:
The weekly time frame, which we would be familiar with, would be the night of the 3rd day of the week (paganly referred to as "Tuesday" night Gregorian calendar, remember Babylon begins its day at 12 mid-night.). At sun down it would be the beginning of the 4th day of the week ("Wednesday") according to YaHVeH’s calculating of time.
6:44PM: Around 6:44 or 7:00 PM Yahvshua and His limmudiym begin to eat this traditional Yahudiy meal (Mattith`Yah 26:20). During the time of the meal Yahvshua announces that one of His limmudiym will betray Him (Mattith'Yah 26:21). Judas/Yudah is the man (Mattith'Yah 26:25). During the meal Yahvshua establishes the new symbols of Pesach. He commands the bread to symbolize His body (Matith'Yah 26:22). He commands the wine to symbolize His blood of the New Covenant (Mattith`Yah 26:27 – 29).
8PM: How long does it take to eat a meal? I would say at the max one hour. The meal would have ended at around 8 PM (Yahn 13:2). At around 8 PM Yahvshua washes His limmudiym's feet (Yahn 13:4 – 12). It is not clear but a little confusing to me at what stage "Judas Iscariot" was given the sop so that Satan would enter him (Yahn 13:26-27). It had to be after the meal was over and Yahvshua had already washed Judas’ feet. During this time two swords are found and taken (Luke 22:38). They sang a hymn and left the upper room (Mattith'Yah 26:30). Judas is not with them, he goes to the priest/kohen to betray Yahvshua (Yahn 13:30-31). Yahvshua conversation and prayer in Yahvchanan/Yahn chapters 13 – 17 must have taken place during this time.
9 PM: Nine PM the second watch begins. Yahvshua and His limmudiym go to the Mount of Olive (Mattith'Yah 26:30; Yahn 18). Yahshua tells His followers they will be scattered and that Kepha (erroneously called "Peter") will deny Him three times (Mattith`Yah 26: 31 – 34) before the cockcrows. Now I have heard that this cock crowing was a slang term. It was a phrase the Yahudiy at that time used for the Roman soldiers that were on watch and would yell out at what hour of the watch they were in. In my Strong’s Concordance in the back it comments about the Yudiy Calendar. It says the first watch took place between sundown and 9 PM. During this time Yahvshua is praying in Gethsemane (Mattith'Yah 26:36). Yahvshua ask His limmudiym to watch with Him (Mattith'Yah 26:38 – 46).
10 PM: At around 10 PM Judas brings a band of men and officers from the chief kohen and Pharisees (Mattith'Yah 26:47 – 50; Yahn 18: 3) and betrays Yahvshua with a kiss, Kepha cuts off the servant of the high kohen right ear with his sword (Mattith'Yah 26:51; Yahn 18:10).
11 PM: Around 11 PM Yahvshua appears before Annas/Chananyah first, than Caiaphas/Kayapha the high kohen. Kepha and Yahn/Yahvchanan followed Yahvshua to the high kohen palace (Mattith'Yah 26:57; Yahn 18:12 –13). Yahvchanan goes into the high kohen palace with Yahvshua but Kepha stays outside with the servants (Mattith'Yah 26:58; Yahn 18:15-16). The chief kohen, elders and the council/Sanhedrin sought to find false witnesses against Yahvshua (Mattith'Yah 26:59 – 62). While this is going on Kepha is outside and denies Yahvshua the first time (Mat. 26:69-70; Yahn 18:17). Kepha continues to stand with the servants and officers around a fire to warm his body (Mat. 26:71-72; Yahn 18:18). Yahvshua continues to be question by the high kohen (Mattith'Yah 26:63-64). Kepha denies Yahvshua the second time (Yahn 18:25).
12 AM: At midnight Kepha denies Yahvshua the third time (Mat. 26:73-75; Yahn 18:27). The third watch took place beginning at midnight according to Strong’s Concordance and lasted until 3 AM. During this time Yahvshua is being abused and tortured (Mattith'Yah 26:67-68; Yahn 18:22).
This would be "Wednesday" morning (the 4th day of the week) according to the Gregorian Babylonian Calendar. This would be the first few hours of the 4th day of the week according to YaHVeH’s Calendar.
3 AM: The Fourth Watch begins at three o’clock and ends at sunrise around six in the morning. The chief kohen, elders and the Sanhedrin hold Yahvshua from 12 AM to 6 AM (Mattith'Yah 27:1).
6 AM: The First watch begins and ends at 9 AM. Yahvshua is delivered to Pilate (Mattith'Yah 27:2; Yahn 18:28). Judas Iscariot realizes what he has done (Mattith'Yah 27:3 – 6). Pilate sends Yahvshua to Herod. Herod and his men mock Yahvshua and disrespect and abuse Him (Luke 23:6 – 12).
9 AM: The second watch begins and ends at Noon. Yahvshua is delivered back to Pilate (Luke 23:12 – 17). The Yudiy continue to sentence Yahvshua and ask that Barabba be released to them (Yahn 18:39-40). Pilate washes his hands of this matter and the Yudiy accept Yahvshua's blood on their heads and their children’s (Mattith'Yah 27:20 – 25). Pilate releases Yahvshua to be scourged and hung on the stake/tree (Mark 15:15). Roman soldiers lead Yahvshua away to Praetorium Hall where they torture Him (Mattith'Yah 27:26 – 31; Mark 15:16 – 20; Yahn 19:1 – 5). Pilate continues to tell the Yudiy religious leaders for the third time he can find no fault in Yahvshua (Shemoth 12:5; Luke 23:18 – 22).
12 PM: The third watch lasted from Noon to 3 PM. This would be the sixth hour (Yahn 19:14). Yahvshua is taken outside by the Roman soldiers so He can be hung (Mark 15:20). The soldiers compel Shimon a Cyrenian to carry Yahvshua’s stake (Mark 15:21). Many women are following Yahvshua crying for Him. Yahvshua tells them don’t cry for Him but for their selves (Luke 23:28 – 31). Yahvshua is taken to the place called Golgotha or the place of the skull (Mattith'Yah 27:33). Darkness was over the entire land during this time (Mattith'Yah 27:45; Mark 15:33; Luke 23:44).
1 PM: Yahvshua is laid on His stake and the Roman soldiers offered Him vinegar mingled with gall to drink before they nail Him to the stake (Mattith'Yah 27:34; Mark 15:23). I have heard some say that this mixture of vinegar and gall was some type of painkiller. The soldier’s begin to nail Yahvshua to the stake (Mattith'Yah 27:35). He is placed between two criminals (Yesha'Yah 53:12; Luke 23:32; Yahn 19:18; T'hiyliym/Psalm 22:16). Pilate writes Yahvshua’s title and places it on the stake (Yahn 19:19 – 20). The chief kohen complains of the title that Pilate writes (Yahn 19:21). At this time the Yudiy would begin to slaughter the lambs (Shemoth/Exodus 12: 6; Yahn 1:29; I Corinthians 5:7).
1:30 PM: Around this time Yahvshua is placed up right hanging on the tree (B'midbar/Numbers 21:9; Yahn 3:14; Dabariym/Deuteronomy 21:22-23; Mark 15:25). The soldiers case lots for His clothes (Mattith'Yah 27:35; Mark 15:24; Luke 23:34; Yahn 19:23-24; T'hiyliym 22:18). The people begin to revile and mock Him (Mattith'Yah27:39 – 44; Mark 15:29 – 32; Luke 23:35 –37). Yahvshua’s mother Miryam/Mary and her sister and Miryam Magdalene stands at Yahvshua’s stake (Yahn 19:25). Yahvshua gives his mother into Yahvchanan's (Yahn) hands to take care of her (Yahn 19:26-27).
3 PM: Fourth watch begins. This would be the ninth hour. Yahvshua cries out with a loud voice to YaHVeH (Mattith'Yah 27:46; Mark 15:34). Those standing around who heard Him thought He was crying out to Eli’Yah (Mattith'Yah 27:47; Mark 15:35). Someone gives Yahvshua some vinegar to drink (Mattith'Yah 27:48-49; Mark 15:36; Yahn 19:28-29). Yahvshua commends His Ruach into YaHVeH’s hands and dies (Mattith'Yah 27:50; Mark 15:37; Luke 23:46; Yahn 19:30).
3:30 PM: The Yudiy request from Pilate that the bodies be removed before the annual Sabbath of the Feast of Unleavened Bread (which falls on the 15th) begins (Yahn 19:31). Soldiers come to the bodies that have been hung on the stakes and break their legs (Yahn 19:32) because they were still alive. They come to Yahvshua and see that He is already dead, they don’t brake His legs (Yahn 19:33; Shemoth12:5; T'hiyliym 34:20), one of the Roman soldiers pierces Yahvshua’s side with his spear (Yahn 19:34; Revelation 1:7; T'hiyliym 22:18).
4:00 PM: Yoseph of Arimathea request from Pilate Yahvshua’s body (Mattith'Yah 27:57-58; Mark 15:43 – 45; Luke 23:50 – 52; Yahn 19:38). Nicodemus helps Yoseph to remove Yahvshua’s body and they prepare His body for burial (Mattith'Yah 27:59; Mark 15:46; Luke 23:53; Yahn 19:39-40).
Begin counting when Yahvshua is in the sepulchre (Mattith'Yah 12:40). Yahvshua is laid in the tomb before sun down.
5:00 PM: Yoseph and Nicodemus take Yahvshua and lay Him in the garden sepulchre because it was close (Mattith'Yah 27:60; Mark 15:46; Luke 27:53; Yahn 19:41-42). 1 night begins Yahvshua time in the tomb.
6:00 PM: *Miryam Magdalene and Miryam of Yose`s/Yoseph watch Yahvshua being laid in the tomb (Mattith'Yah 27:61; Mark 15:47; Luke 23:55) and prepare spices for His body (Luke 23:56).
6:45 PM: At sun down the 5th day begins according to YaHVeH’s Calendar. The Annual Sabbath of Feast of Unleavened Bread begins the 15th, called the night to be much observed (Mattith'Yah 27:62; Luke 23:56; Shemoth 12:42).
From sundown to sundown the annual Sabbath of Feast of Unleavened Bread is kept. Yahudiy are resting during this time.
6:00 AM: Yahvshua is 1 day when the sun is up in the tomb.
5:00 PM: Yahvshua is 2-nights in tomb.
6:46 PM: At sun down the 6th day begins according to YaHVeH’s Calendar. The Annual Sabbath ends (16th day of the 1st Chodesh begins).
6:00 AM: The chief kohen and Pharisee’s go to Pilate and request guards to secure Yahvshua’s tomb (Mattith'Yah 27:62 – 66). It is at this time that the kohen offers up the First Fruits the wave sheaf. Yahvshua is that wave sheaf; He is the first Fruit of many more to come.
6:00 AM: Yahvshua is 2-days when the sun is up in the tomb.
6:47 PM: At sun down the 7th day would begin, which is the weekly Sabbath according to YaHVeH’s Calendar (17th day of the 1st Chodesh begins).
6:00 AM: Yahvshua is now the 3rd day when the sun is up in the tomb.
5:00 PM: This would equal 3 days and 3 nights that Yahvshua has lain in the tomb. Yahvshua is in the tomb for the 3rd night. It is at this time that Yahvshua had to be raised from the dead for His word to be fulfilled. It would have to be at around this time that the earthquake took place that open other believers tombs that were resurrected back to flesh and blood (Mattith'Yah 27:51 – 54). The guards that the chief kohen and Pharisees had watching Yahvshua’s tomb witness this event. The veil of the heykal is torn in two from the top to the bottom (Mattith'Yah 27:51; Mark 15:38; Luke 23:45). There is some confusion on my part of when the guards confessed that Yahvshua is the Ben of Elohiym. Was it while He was hanging on the tree? Or was it when it He was raised from the dead? Or was it at both times that the soldiers confessed that He was the Ben of Elohiym? *Those spices Miryam Magdalene and Miryam of Yose`s had prepared three days ago they will be bringing to Yahvshua's tomb the next day in the early morning of the first day of the week.
6:48 PM: At sundown the weekly Sabbath ends and the 1st day of the week begins (18th day of the 1st Chodesh begins).
5:00 AM: Miryam Magdalene and the other Miryam arrive at the tomb before sunrise and fine the stone that seals the tomb rolled away already. They look inside the tomb, Yahvshua is not inside but a Shamayim Malak is and informs them of what has taken place (Mattith'Yah 28:1 – 8; Mark 16: 1 – 8; Luke 24:1 – 9; Yahn 20:1).
This calculation of events is estimation only and is meant to give you a general idea of the time frame that our Rabbi was offered and raised from the dead. I’m sure if you do enough research and digging you can come up with even a better estimation.
